Lovely day in the neighborhood

It's up to 41F with some sun and pale blue sky. I really need to dress and get a few groceries in, but for some reason my back has gone hurty on me the last couple days, so I'm tottering gingerly around trying to find any remedy besides Naproxin to assuage the ache. Aspirin hasn't touched it, and I'm out of Ibuprophen...which is on the TOP of the grocery list. Yesterday I broke down and took a Naproxin ...and sat zoned out for the better part of an hour in my comfy rocker. It's helpful but bites me back right in the liver...so there has to be another answer. Would love to have a hot tub for these little annoyances...

The Irish Craic House has migrated successfully to Multiply, whew. Sure hope the members get comfy with it. A load off my mind. I don't know what the hell is going on with the 'Windymare' (sic) site...admin seems to be down by half, and nobody but me has posted...that alone is enough to clear a room in a hot minute...but damn...I din't do nuttin'...

Since I started this post the temp has climbed to 42F !!! warmer than it's been in DAYS ... the sun is moving to the front, so I'll go open the drapes for the gang...and rustle up some brunch before making an attempt to do something with the day.

Hoping ya'll have fair skies...

weather sounds nice...compared to here. Every second day it rains, which makes for a terrible ice situation on the streets. Today there's an icy wind. I haven't been out at all.

So...he decided to go for Multiply?! I'll check it out.

I dropped the Windymare (!) when I switched accounts. The whole thing in Multiply was just becoming too much. Even though I don't work, there are only so many hours in a day! Since we moved here, there are so many other things I want to do, and I'm also having a lot of fun with my «own» blog/site. I had no idea how much you could do with Google Sites until a few days ago.

Naproxin perhaps aren't all that good if you have a bleeding tendency. I've never tried them.. never felt the urge. A friend back home did, and he got a bleeding in the eye..

LOL...re Naproxin, Aleve and similar pills... I took Aleve for my wrist, when nothing else was working for the constant pain...Aleve worked just GREAT, (better than the narcotic that addicted me within 2 weeks!)...but then I read the label...it states clearly that if you drink 2 or more drinks a day you should NOT use these meds....big oops on my part and then I had blood in my urine....sheesh. The Naproxin I took is Himself's Rx...and quite strong...so I was an immobile zombie for awhile...it felt fine on my back...but I didn't like that feeling of being numb...at all. I felt like that a the hospital when they pumped me with morphine for no damn earthly reason. I wasn't in pain, and I wasn't particularly stressed out at the time. But I guess they figured I was like all the other people...geez.

I bought Aleve in the States, we don't have it here. No idea why I bought it...maybe because I could. Still haven't tried them because I haven't had any problems :)
We do have something called Advil, and I keep mixing up the names.
When I had that surgery back in 2001 I got a morphine pump. Used very little of it so I never experienced that lovely feeling people are talking about. I just didn't see the big deal. The pump was set to let out very little and I only tried it twice. Went out on a balcony for a smoke and sat down to quickly...ouch! Pushed the button and it sure worked!
I checked out the Freewebs... oh my, have they ever improved. Don't think I had looked there for two, three years. http://muffinby.webs.com/
