If you look pretty soon you should see some of the dogs rescued from the pup mill...this has been on the news here for days now...LOL I thought they were the little yappy doggies...but these are Alaskan dogs...I would probably adopt one if I could...
I didn't realize until today that there were 400 of them!!! Jaysu....

ha, on the ironic side of things, I am thinking Peetle may need a new baby sister or brother pretty soon and am looking at Shelties and mutts online at shelters and *Decent* breeders.
I don't see any dogs in our foreseeable future. We haven't been told to move because of the Gang of 4 yet, so I'll just keep a low profile. I'd like to have a Norwegian Elkhound I think, they are such lovely dogs, but we really are cat people. A dog is just too needy, no matter how good they are.
My friends have two American Eskimo dogs like those, Sasha & Nikita. They are very sweet & fun dogs.
There are a lot of volunteers for these animals. Many just going in to help socialize the dogs to prepare them for adoption or foster homes. Hopefully they'll get all the poor dogs placed in proper surroundings. I know they Can be great pets..it's just too damn bad that the economy may hold people back from taking on another mouth to feed.
American Eskimo dogs are the cutest! Well, I think they're cute, Peetle thinks they're the same as all other dogs--competition. Hehe, heh.
